Creamed Cabbage and Ground Beef Casserole

Creamed Cabbage and Ground Beef Casserole
Ingredients:
1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup breadcrumbs
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cabbage is slightly wilted.
In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well and then fold this mixture into the beef and cabbage mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, followed by an even layer of breadcrumbs.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
