
Ingredients
8 thin beef slices (top round, flank steak, or sandwich steaks)
Salt and black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Stuffing
2 cups seasoned bread crumbs or stuffing mix
½ cup diced onion
½ cup diced celery
2 tbsp butter
½ cup beef broth
¼ cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley
Cooking Liquid
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Prepare the stuffing
Sauté onion and celery in butter until softened.
Mix with bread crumbs, bacon, garlic powder, parsley, and broth.
Let cool slightly.
Prepare the beef
Pound beef slices to about ¼-inch thickness.
Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Roll
Place a portion of stuffing on each beef slice.
Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
Brown
Heat olive oil in a skillet.
Brown the rolls on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Bake
Place rolls in a baking dish.
Pour beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and melted butter around them.
Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45–60 minutes, until tender.
Serve
Spoon the pan juices over the rolls.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
