Juicy, tender ham baked to perfection and coated in a rich sticky brown sugar glaze with garlic, honey, and warm spices — the ultimate festive centerpiece that melts in your mouth 🤤
🛒 Ingredients
🍖 Ham
1 fully cooked bone-in ham (4–6 lbs)
Whole cloves (optional, for studding)
🍯 Sticky Glaze
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup honey
¼ cup Dijon mustard
3 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup pineapple juice (optional for sweetness)
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the Ham
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Place ham in a roasting pan and score the surface in a diamond pattern. Stud with cloves if desired.
2️⃣ Make the Glaze
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, pineapple juice, paprika, cinnamon, black pepper, and soy sauce. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until smooth and glossy.
3️⃣ Bake the Ham
Brush ham generously with glaze. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 1.5–2 hours, basting every 20–30 minutes with more glaze.
4️⃣ Caramelize the Finish
Remove foil in the last 15–20 minutes and increase heat to 400°F (200°C) to create a sticky caramelized crust.
5️⃣ Serve
Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Spoon extra glaze over each slice for maximum flavor.
