A creamy cheesecake with sweet bananas and a yummy rum glaze on top. Pure dessert heaven! π
π Ingredients
For the Crust:
1Β½ cups graham cracker crumbs πͺ
ΒΌ cup melted butter π§
1 tbsp sugar π¬
For the Cheesecake:
16 oz cream cheese (soft) π§
1 cup sugar π¬
ΒΌ cup flour πΎ
1 tsp vanilla πΏ
4 large eggs π₯
For the Caramelized Bananas:
2 ripe bananas, sliced π
2 tbsp butter π§
1 tbsp brown sugar π―
ΒΌ tsp cinnamon π°
For the Rum Glaze:
ΒΌ cup rum πΉ
ΒΌ cup brown sugar π―
1 tbsp water π§
π©βπ³ How to Make It
1οΈβ£ Make the Crust:
Heat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) π₯.
In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch pan π₯.
Bake for 8β10 mins until light brown. Let it cool π¬οΈ.
2οΈβ£ Make the Cheesecake:
In a bowl, beat cream cheese until soft and fluffy π§.
Slowly add sugar, flour, and vanilla πΏ.
Add eggs one by one π₯. Mix gently (donβt mix too much!).
3οΈβ£ Bake the Cheesecake:
Pour the mix over the crust. Bake 50β60 mins. It should be set but a little wobbly in the middle π°.
Turn off oven, leave cheesecake inside for 1 hour so it doesnβt crack. Cool completely, then chill in fridge βοΈ.
4οΈβ£ Caramelize the Bananas:
Melt butter in a pan. Add bananas and brown sugar ππ―.
Cook 2β3 mins each side until golden. Sprinkle with cinnamon π°.
5οΈβ£ Make the Rum Glaze:
In a small pan, mix rum, brown sugar, and water πΉ.
Simmer for 2β3 mins until a little thick.
6οΈβ£ Put It All Together:
When cheesecake is cool, put the bananas on top π.
Pour warm rum glaze all over πΉ. Serve now or chill for later π.
