ingredients
8 oz fettuccine or any long type of pasta
water to boil the pasta
3-4 tbsp salt (for pasta water)
1-2 cups pasta water
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tail off (jumbo size, thawed if frozen)
1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
1 tbsp old bay seasoning
1 tbsp paprika
5 tbsp butter, divided
1 tbsp olive oil
7-8 garlic cloves, minced (adjust to taste)
juice of 1 lemon
3 oz parmesan cheese, freshly grated
a pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
parsley flakes for garnish (optional)

1οΈβ£ Season the shrimp with lemon pepper, old bay, and paprika. Ensure they are well coated.
2οΈβ£ Boil water for the pasta. Add salt and pasta. Cook until al dente according to package directions. Set aside 1-2 cups of pasta water.
3οΈβ£ Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Once the butter is foaming, add shrimp. Cook for 1.5-2 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside.
4οΈβ£ In the same pan, melt the remaining 4 tbsp of butter over low/medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
5οΈβ£ Add pasta water, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir quickly. Reduce heat to low. Add cooked pasta and parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese is completely melted.
6οΈβ£ Add shrimp and toss well. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley flakes if desired. Enjoy!
