
🧾 Ingredients
For the cake:
4 large eggs
100 g sugar (½ cup)
1 tsp vanilla extract
100 g flour (¾ cup)
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp milk
For the filling:
Strawberry jam (or any jam you like)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Prepare the batter
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Line a rectangular baking tray with parchment paper.
Beat eggs + sugar until light, fluffy, and pale (about 5 minutes).
Add vanilla and milk.
Gently fold in flour + baking powder + salt. - Bake
Pour batter into tray and spread evenly.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden. - Roll while warm
Place the cake on a clean towel dusted with powdered sugar.
Carefully peel off parchment paper.
Roll the cake with the towel and let it cool (this prevents cracking). - Add filling
Unroll gently.
Spread jam evenly.
Roll it back tightly (without towel). - Finish
Dust with powdered sugar.
Slice and serve!

Don’t overbake → keeps cake soft and flexible
Roll while warm → prevents cracks
You can use cream, chocolate spread, or fruit filling instead of jam.
