Ingredients:
• 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour or bread flour
• 2 tbsp (25g) sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 tsp instant yeast
• 2 tbsp (30g) unsalted butter (softened)
• ¾ cup (180ml) warm milk
• 2 tbsp (30ml) heavy cream or condensed milk (optional, for extra softness)
• 1 egg (room temperature)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast together.
In a separate bowl, whisk warm milk, egg, and cream or condensed milk (if using).
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a rough dough forms.
Add the softened butter and knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a mixer).
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into 3 equal portions. Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten and roll up tightly like a log.
Place the rolls side by side in a greased loaf pan.
Cover and let rise again for 40–60 minutes until it reaches the top of the pan.
Brush lightly with milk or egg wash.
Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, brush the top with butter, and let it cool before slicing.
