Smoky Caramelized Chicken Skillet π
Ingredients:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
– 1/4 cup water
– Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
Step 1: Season Chicken
Pat dry the chicken breasts and season them with smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
Step 2: Sear Chicken
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides.
Step 3: Make Caramel Sauce
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, and water. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
Step 4: Caramelize Chicken
Reduce heat to low and let the chicken simmer in the caramel sauce until it thickens and chicken is fully cooked.
Step 5: Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve the smoky caramelized chicken hot.
