Cheesy Meat-Filled Puff Pastry Rolls

Cheesy Meat-Filled Puff Pastry Rolls
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
1 egg (beaten)
1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
4. Stir in shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the mixture is combined. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
5. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into squares or rectangles (about 4×4 inches).
6. Place a spoonful of the meat and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
7. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to help seal.
8. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle or a rectangle and press the edges to seal, using a fork to crimp if desired.
9. Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the remaining beaten egg for a golden finish.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
11. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your cheesy, meaty delight!
