🦞 Butter-Baked Lobster Tails
Ingredients
4 lobster tails (about 5–6 oz each, thawed if frozen)
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
Prep Lobster Tails
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise to the tail fan. Gently lift the meat and rest it on top of the shell (“piggyback” style) for even cooking.
Make Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Butter & Season
Place lobster tails in a baking dish.
Brush generously with garlic butter, reserving some for basting.
Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, basting with remaining butter halfway through, until the meat is opaque and slightly firm (internal temp 140–145°F / 60–63°C).
Serve
Drizzle with any extra butter from the pan.
Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
💡 Tip: For an extra golden top, broil the lobster tails for the last 1–2 minutes of cooking.
