1 lb (450 g) ground beef
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
½ small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup milk
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ cup marinara or tomato sauce (plus more for topping)
1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish or muffin tin.
In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, milk, salt, pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, and marinara sauce until just combined.
Take a small portion of the meat mixture, flatten it in your hand.
Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a ball.
Arrange meatballs in the baking dish or muffin tin.
Spoon a little marinara sauce on top of each bite.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until cooked through.
Sprinkle extra cheese on top and bake 5 more minutes until melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
🔥 Tips
Use cheddar or gouda for a stronger cheese flavor.
Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or garlic bread.
Can be made in an air fryer: 180°C for 12–15 minutes.
