
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
2 cups cooked rice (or 1 cup uncooked)
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 medium onion, diced
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp soy sauce (optional for deeper flavor)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup or homemade equivalent
1 ½ cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix)
2 tbsp butter or oil
Salt & black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
🥄 Instructions
- Preheat Oven
Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the Beef
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef.
Season with salt and pepper.
Drain excess fat and set aside.
- Sauté Vegetables
In the same skillet, add butter or oil.
Sauté onions until soft.
Add garlic and mushrooms; cook until mushrooms are browned and tender.
- Combine the Sauce
In a bowl, mix:
Cream of mushroom soup
Beef broth
Soy sauce (optional)
Stir well.
- Assemble the Casserole
In a casserole dish:
- Spread the cooked rice evenly.
- Add cooked ground beef.
- Add mushroom–onion mixture.
- Pour the soup mixture over everything.
- Gently mix so flavors combine.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Garnish
Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
