For the Cake Layer:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour 🌾

For the Fudge Sauce Layer:
- ½ cup granulated sugar 🍬
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar 🍯
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder 🍫
- 1¼ cups boiling water 💧

1️⃣ Prep the Pan:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish. Boil water in a kettle and set aside. 🔥
2️⃣ Make the Cake Batter:
In a bowl, whisk flour, ½ cup sugar, ¼ cup cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and lump-free. Pour into the baking dish. 🍰
3️⃣ Make the Sauce Layer:
In a small bowl, mix remaining ½ cup sugar, brown sugar, and 3 tbsp cocoa powder.
Sprinkle evenly over the cake batter (do not stir!). 🍫
4️⃣ Add Boiling Water:
Gently pour boiling water over the top—don’t mix it in! It’ll look strange, but that’s how the magic happens. ✨
5️⃣ Bake:
Bake for 35 minutes, until the top looks set and slightly cracked. A toothpick should come out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Let cool for 15 minutes, then scoop into bowls — making sure to get that gooey fudge sauce from the bottom. 😋
