Ingredients
• 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
• ¾ cup (150g) brown sugar (or white sugar)
• 2 large eggs, room temperature
• 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 ½ cups / 360g)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ cup (120ml) plain yogurt or sour cream
• ¾ cup (130g) chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line a 9×5-inch (23x13cm) loaf pan.

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs, mashed bananas, vanilla, and yogurt, mixing until smooth.

Fold in the dry ingredients gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

Stir in the chocolate chips, reserving a few for the top.

Pour batter into prepared pan, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top, and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are fine).

Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack
