
Pan-Fried Apple Fritters
These pan-fried apple donuts are a lighter version of traditional donuts. Scented with cinnamon, they are perfect for a quick and gourmet snack or dessert.
Ingredients :
- 4 apples (Golden or Pink Lady type)
- 150 g of flour
- 2 eggs (or egg-free substitute for allergies)
- 20 cl of milk
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of chemical yeast
- 1 tablespoon of butter or coconut oil for cooking
- Icing sugar to sprinkle (optional)
Preparation:
- Peel the apples, remove the heart and cut into thick slices.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt and chemical yeast.
- Add the eggs and milk, then whisk until you get a smooth dough.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat with butter or coconut oil.
- Dip each apple slice in the batter, then bake in the skillet 2-3 minutes on each side, until nicely golden brown.
- Drain donuts on absorbent paper and sprinkle with icing sugar before serving, if desired.
