
π Juicy Cheeseburgers
Ingredients (makes 4 burgers):
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 blend works best for juicy burgers)
- 1 tsp salt
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- Β½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, Swiss, or your favorite)
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 2β3 tbsp mayonnaise (or your favorite burger sauce)
Optional Toppings:
- Pickles
- Onions (raw, grilled, or caramelized)
- Bacon
- Ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce
Instructions:
- Prepare the Patties:
- In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (donβt overmix).
- Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties slightly larger than the buns (they shrink while cooking).
- Cook the Patties:
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook patties for about 3β4 minutes per side (for medium), or until they reach your preferred doneness.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking, cover to melt.
- Toast the Buns:
- Lightly butter and toast buns on the grill/skillet for 1β2 minutes until golden.
- Assemble the Burgers:
- Spread mayonnaise (or your sauce) on the bottom bun.
- Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, cheeseburger patty, and top bun.
