📝 Ingredients
- 3 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander or parsley
- 1 small green chili (finely chopped, optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (or 1 clove minced garlic)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (for coating)
- 2–3 tbsp all-purpose flour or corn flour (for dusting)
- 2–3 tbsp water (for slurry)
- Oil for shallow frying
🍳 Method
- Prepare the potato mix
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, coriander, chili, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili flakes. Mix well until smooth.
- Shape the cutlets
- Take a small portion of the potato mix, flatten it in your palm, place a little shredded mozzarella in the center, then close and shape into oval or round patties.
- Coat the patties
- In one bowl, mix flour and water to make a thin slurry.
- Dip each patty into the slurry, then roll it in bread crumbs until fully coated.
- Fry until golden
- Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
- Shallow fry the patties until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot
- Enjoy with ketchup, mint chutney, or garlic mayo.
