Ingredients:

3 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)

1 cup finely chopped green onions (or chives)

1 egg

3–4 tbsp flour (or cornstarch)

1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

Oil for pan-frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the mixture

In a bowl, add the mashed potatoes, green onions, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Add the flour to bind the mixture.

Mix until smooth.
(The mixture should be soft but able to hold shape.)

  1. Shape the sticks

Lightly oil your hands.

Take a small portion and shape it into a small log/stick about 10 cm long.

Repeat until all mixture is used.

  1. Pan-fry

Heat a pan over medium heat and add a thin layer of oil.

Place the sticks in the pan without crowding.

Cook each side for 3–4 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  1. Serve

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce:
garlic mayo, chili sauce, cheese dip, or ketchup.

⭐ Tips:

For extra crispiness, lightly dust formed sticks with flour before frying.

You can add grated cheese to the potato mix for a richer flavor.

Substitute potatoes with mashed sweet potatoes or grated zucchini (squeeze dry).

If you’d like, I can give you a baked version, air-fryer version, or a filling variation (chicken, cheese, veggies).
