🎄 Eggnog Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows (about 5 ½ cups)

3 tbsp unsalted butter

½ tsp ground nutmeg (plus more for garnish)

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ cup prepared eggnog

Topping (optional but delicious):

1 cup white chocolate chips or vanilla candy melts

2 tbsp eggnog

Ground nutmeg for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Prepare pan

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or line with parchment paper.

  1. Melt base

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

Stir in the marshmallows and cook, stirring until fully melted and smooth.

  1. Flavor it

Remove from heat and quickly stir in the eggnog, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until smooth.

  1. Mix in cereal

Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until evenly coated.

  1. Press into pan

Spread mixture into prepared pan. Lightly butter your hands or a spatula and press it down evenly. Don’t pack too hard or treats will be dense.

  1. Optional topping

Melt white chocolate chips (or candy melts) with 2 tbsp eggnog until smooth.

Spread over the cooled treats and sprinkle with nutmeg.

  1. Set & Cut

Allow topping to set at room temperature or chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes.

Cut into squares and serve.
