Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g soft butter
  • 150 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g diced ham
  • 100 g grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped

Instructions:

1. Prepare the dough
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and oregano. Add the soft butter in small pieces and rub the mixture with your fingers until you get a crumbly, sand-like texture.

2. Add the savory ingredients
Mix in the egg, finely chopped shallot, diced ham, and grated parmesan. Stir until the dough is well combined and smooth.

3. Shape the cookies
Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F). Form small balls of dough with your hands and flatten them slightly into cookie shapes. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

4. Bake
Bake the cookies for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.

5. Serve warm or at room temperature
