Savory Amish Burger Bake Delight 🍽️🥔

Ingredients:
– 1.5 lbs ground beef
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
– Salt and black pepper to taste
– 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
– 2 large eggs
– 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
– 1 cup cremini mushrooms, sliced
– 2 cups rich beef broth
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 2 cups creamy mashed potatoes (prepared)
– 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, Italian breadcrumbs, and eggs. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.

2. Shape into Patties: Portion the meat mixture into 4 equal servings and shape them into thick patties.

3. Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil and add the sliced onion and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened, then remove from the skillet and set aside.

4. Brown the Patties: In the same skillet, add the shaped patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and place aside.

5. Assemble the Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a greased baking dish, evenly layer the sautéed onions and mushrooms. Arrange the browned patties on top.

6. Add Broth: Pour the beef broth over the patties, ensuring they are adequately submerged.

7. Top with Mash and Cheese: Spread the prepared mashed potatoes evenly over the top to cover the patties entirely, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

8. Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.

9. Garnish and Serve: Allow to cool for a few minutes, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, then serve warm. Enjoy your comforting and hearty dish!
