Ham and Cheese Hash Brown Casserole
This hearty, cheesy casserole is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner—simple to make and packed with flavor!
Ingredients:
- 1 (30-ounce) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Optional Topping:
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes or Ritz crackers
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
2. Make the sauce:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
3. Combine ingredients:
Add the chopped onion, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, and thawed hash browns to the bowl. Mix everything until well combined.
4. Assemble:
Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
5. Add topping (optional):
If desired, mix the crushed cornflakes or Ritz crackers with 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole for a crispy topping.
6. Bake:
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until the casserole is hot, bubbly, and golden brown on top.
7. Cool and serve:
