Black Pepper Beef Stir-Fry

This flavorful stir-fry combines tender beef with a bold black pepper sauce for a delicious and quick meal!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak, cut into cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons coarse black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (for slurry)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Beef:
    In a bowl, combine the flank steak cubes with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    In a separate bowl, mix together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry the Beef:
    Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Once cooked, remove the beef and set it aside.
  4. Cook the Vegetables:
    In the same pan, add the garlic, onions, and bell peppers. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
  5. Combine and Cook:
    Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the prepared sauce and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  6. Serve:
    Serve the stir-fry hot over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
