Barbecue Bacon Pizza – Smoky, Crispy, and Loaded with Flavor!

 

Ingredients

1 prepared pizza dough (about 12-inch round)

1/2 cup barbecue sauce

1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded

5 slices cooked bacon, chopped

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup shredded smoked gouda or cheddar cheese

1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion

1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Olive oil for brushing the crust

Directions

Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.

Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or a pizza peel if using a stone.

Lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil.

Spread barbecue sauce evenly over the center of the dough, leaving a small border.

Sprinkle mozzarella and gouda cheeses evenly over the sauce.

Distribute shredded chicken, chopped bacon, and sliced red onion on top.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 2–3 minutes.

Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired, slice, and serve warm.
